2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 the Lola – the Deutsche Filmpreis – was awarded at a festive award ceremony and gala at the Palais am Funkturm. The Deutsche Filmpreis is the most prestigious and highest award for German filmindustry. 2500 guests witnessed a glamorous gala with host Barbara Schöneberger and continued to celebrate into the early morning hours at the Palais am Funkturm, in the Ehrenhalle, and at the "Strandbar."
